The dining table is where a household marks its days. Daily meals, formal entertaining, homework, late-night conversation, work-from-home spreading out. Custom dining furniture has to absorb all of that — and remain the most beautiful piece in the room. These are the choices we walk every client through.
Solid hardwood — American walnut, European oak, mahogany — gives the longest life and the deepest patina. Live-edge slabs, book-matched veneer over hardwood substrate, epoxy resin river tables and natural stone tops are all available. For Dubai climates, we always specify kiln-dried timber (8–12% moisture content) to prevent warping under AC swings.
Allow 60 cm of table edge per seated guest. A six-seater needs 180 cm of length; an eight-seater needs 220 cm; a ten-seater needs 280 cm. Round tables comfortably seat: four (110 cm diameter), six (150 cm), eight (180 cm). Rectangular tables work best in long rooms; round encourages conversation across the table.
Upholstered, leather, cane, woven rattan or solid hardwood — we build the chairs to coordinate with the table and the room. Comfort matters more than people expect: chair seat depth of 42–45 cm and seat height of 45–47 cm work for most adults. Performance bouclé and Crypton-treated upholstery survive spills and Dubai humidity better than untreated natural fabrics.
Most luxury Dubai dining rooms benefit from a coordinated buffet or sideboard — for serving, display, glassware and table linen storage. We design these as a coordinated set with the dining table, in the same timber and finish.
A bespoke six-seater dining table ranges from AED 15,000 for solid oak or walnut to AED 40,000+ for live-edge slabs, marble-topped or epoxy resin designs. Eight- and ten-seater pieces, and matching chair sets, scale up from there.
Lead time for a dining table is 6–10 weeks. Coordinated chair sets add 4–6 weeks. Imported stone tops add 4–8 weeks for sourcing and shipping.
Yes — every piece we build for Dubai uses kiln-dried hardwood, climate-resistant adhesives and finishes engineered for AC and humidity swings. With a simple care routine (weekly dust, twice-yearly re-oil for natural finishes) a properly built dining table lasts decades.
